Smith Mountain Lake (SML) Area
Smith Mountain Lake State Park offers camping and cabins on the lake or within walking distance of the lake. There are several trails to hike and a white beach for relaxing and swimming. Smith Mountain Lake is famous for its Bass Tournament’s and water sports. Houseboat rentals are a great option also. If you prefer boating, rental boats are available at many surrounding Marinas.

Roanoke is the Star City with a downtown market and shopping. Live music, bars, restaurants, and several breweries are close by. Trolley transportation is available to the downtown Market. Several local attractions are close to the Springhill Suites by Marriott including the Blue Ridge Parkway, VA Museum of Transportation, Roanoke Valley Greenway, Mill Mountain Star & Park, Berglund Center, Center in the Square, and Black Dog Salvage.
